In this piece, I sought to create a world suspended between reality and a dream. The central figure, an ancient, gnarled tree, stands as a testament to resilience, its dark, twisted form silhouetted against the ethereal glow of a full moon. It is a sentinel at the edge of a tranquil sea, a place where the enduring strength of the earth meets the serene mystery of the night sky. My goal was to capture a moment of profound stillness, where the viewer can feel the quiet power of nature and the timeless dance between light and shadow, creating a space for introspection and peace. I used a palette of deep, cool blues to build the nocturnal atmosphere, but punctuated this darkness with vibrant crimson blossoms.
